The Centre for Management Studies (CMS), an
autonomous and integral part of the HCM Rajasthan State Institute of Public
Administration, was established during 1982 - the Silver Jubilee Year of the
Institute. The lack of training facilities in the area of management,
particularly for the public sector personnel in the State, was greatly felt
since a long time. The Centre for Management Studies is specially designed to
cater to such need.
Objectives

To assist, collaborate and organize training programmes in various management
systems, particularly in the field of industrial management. |

To promote the study of management systems and practices with a view to expand
the frontiers of knowledge in this field. |

To undertake or to help research studies in management systems.
|
|
|
To render professional assistance in the field of management to individuals and
organizations. |
|
|
To help in the growth of professionalism in the area of management systems.

To undertake such other activities and to create such other structures,
institutions and organizations as may be found essential or conducive to the
better realization of the above mentioned aims and objectives. |

The HCM Rajasthan State Institute of Public Administration and the Centre for
Management Studies, in fact, perform a complimentary role in the field of
training. The Centre is utilizing liberally and extensively faculty expertise of
the HCM RIPA.

Due to its location at the HCM Rajasthan State Institute of Public
Administration, the CMS generally utilizes the infrastructural facilities
already created at the Institute. However, it has also supplemented them further
from its own resources.

The CMS undertakes research on problems of management systems. Pending the
