Centre
for Disaster Management was established at the HCM Rajasthan State Institue of
Public Administration as its integral part in the year 1995 with the assistance
of Natural Disaster management Division of the Ministry of Agriculture &
Cooperation, Government of India. Now, the Centre is functioning under the
auspices of the Ministry of Home Affairs. The aim of creating the Centre is to
prmote preparedness and mitigation measures and to enhance the capability of the
state to reduce the adverse impact of natural and man-made disasters. The Centre
is expected to be helpful in raising awareness and building adequate strength in
the people of disaster prone areas, to face the situation.
